After seven years of planning and two years of construction, the new Ronald McDonald House BC and Yukon (RMH BC) opened on July 7, 2014. RMH BC has been helping families that travel to Vancouver in search of life-saving treatment for their seriously ill children since 1983. The new house can accommodate 73 families each night – 60 more families per night than the previous house.

This new facility has been awarded LEED Gold certification. Sustainable features include on-site renewable energy generation and energy efficient lighting.
